Colleen Lineberry

Colleen Lineberry’s abstract oil and cold wax paintings are inspired by the renewal, balance, and freedom she finds in Nature throughout a lifetime of camping, hiking, and outdoor exploration. Her paintings have been exhibited in National and International juried shows, galleries, and civic spaces in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and North Carolina, including George Segal Gallery, City Without Walls, Monmouth Museum, Atlantic City Museum, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, South Orange Performing Arts Center, Sky + Ground Contemporary Art, and others. She has been involved in projects dedicated to preserving and honoring the natural world, especially in response to the gutting of US environmental protections, the privatization of National Park Lands, and more. Ms. Lineberry taught Creative Nonfiction, Fiction, and Poetry for more than 30 years as an Associate Professor at Brookdale Community College, and as a Consultant, created and taught Creative Expansion and Writing workshops throughout New Jersey. She has shared her passion for creativity and the arts through painting, teaching, and writing and has been the recipient of fellowships at Princeton University, Rutgers University, and Vermont Studio Center. She is currently working on a new series, Finding Light, inspired by recent outdoor experiences in the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains.
