Joan Gantz

Joan Gantz is a native New Jersey artist who works in a variety of mediums. Professionally educated at Seton Hall University and Rutgers she enjoyed 12 yrs as a Critical Care nurse. Following the raising of her four children she studied Painting at the Yard School , New Jersey C.enter for Visual Arts and The Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts and Sciences She has developed a unique abstract style which is frequently inspired by forms in nature. Another powerful impetus for her work is derived through emotional interpretations and responses to circumstances. This group of works is the result of the past 3 years of painting. They represent her particular concern for line, shape color and movement. Her aim is to engage the viewer in her creative experience.
