Andrea Geller
Andrea Geller is a NJ based painter. After studying painting for two years at Cornell University, she earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design. Following a career as an illustrator and graphic designer, she received her MFA from William Paterson University. She has been painting water and people's relationships to water for over a decade, finding it to be a boundless and perpetual subject that allows her to experiment with color, gesture, energy, movement, proxemics and politics.
Andrea Geller's paintings have been exhibited both regionally and nationally and is included in many private collections. Her painting from the Rising Water series, 'Swimming over Antarctica' was included in the 2023 NJ Arts Annual exhibition, Mother Nature vs Human Nature: The Inequity of Climate Resilience at the Noyes Museum, NJ. Recently her painting 'Waves' was included in two exhibitions, 'Water Stories' at the Long Beach Island Foundation, NJ and 'Family: Blood or Bond' at Culture Lab Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City, NY.
