Dawn DiCicco

Dawn grew up at the Jersey Shore, where her love for art, music, and nature took root at an early age. Much of her childhood was spent sketching at the beach near her home. After earning a BFA from the University of Arizona, she worked as a graphic designer in Tucson, Philadelphia, New York City, and New Jersey. In her spare time, she pursued painting and drawing realistic images, balancing her creative passions with the demands of raising a family. Seeking a new artistic direction, Dawn later turned to Abstract Expressionism. This style—emphasizing personal expression through shape, color, line, and texture—allowed her to break free from the constraints of realism. She found renewed inspiration in combining art, music, and nature, expressing herself in ways that felt more intuitive and liberating. Today, Dawn’s abstract works reflect her deep connection to music and nature. Each piece captures the essence of these influences through bold, expressive forms, marking a journey where creative freedom and personal expression take center stage.
