Nicholas DAngelo

Nicholas D’Angelo was born in Newark, NJ, and attended Montclair State University, receiving a B.A. in art in 1996 and an M.F.A. from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2000. His work focuses on action, speed of movement, and thought. Mr. D’Angelo’s projects have been exhibited at galleries and museums. Some of his work includes a live showing of his video work at a film and music festival called Individual Deconstruction in Ypsilanti, MI. In June 2001 he exhibited at Soil Gallery in a show titled Unbecoming in Seattle WA. He showed at the Detroit Contemporary in Detroit Michigan and participated in a Film festival called Film: Eclectic Collection of Short Films at the Pierro Gallery of South Orange, NJ. In 2012 he exhibited in the International Art Festival at the Museum of Russian Art in Jersey City. In 2016, he exhibited at the NEXT Up Gallery National Show in Denver, CO. In 2015, he participated in the Art by America: A Review of 2-Dimensional Contemporary Art show in Chicago, Il. He was highlighted in Creative Quarterly’s website Issue #42 in 2016 and #57 in 2020. In 2021, he participated in Luminosity: The at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod Juried Exhibition. In 2022 he participated in INTERSTATE: Where I-90 Meets I-82 at the Sarah Spurgeon Gallery.
