SHERRI EHRLICH

Sherri Ehrlich is a dynamic, multidisciplinary artist whose work spans music, education, and the visual arts. A native New Yorker, Sherri’s creative journey began early in life. She attended City-As-School in New York City, where she shared the halls with none other than Jean-Michel Basquiat. Recognized for her talent at a young age, she earned a scholarship to study scupture at Parsons School of Design on weekends, nurturing her foundation in the visual arts. Sherri continued to pursue the creative arts through college, studying graphic art and illustration at San Francisco City College and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she expanded her expressive range into theater and performance. Her passion for creativity led to a successful career as a professional singer and educator for over 30 years, while visual art remained a constant undercurrent in her life. In recent years, Sherri has returned to painting with a renewed, almost feverish intensity—producing a vivid body of work that includes colorful abstracts, expressive botanicals, bold figurative pieces, and multimedia collage compositions. Her style is energetic, lyrical, and layered with emotion and movement. Her work has been exhibited at the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, The Middletown Arts Center where she earned a Third Place award to her great surprise, as well as the Belmar Arts Center, Atlantic Highlands Art Council and various galleries throughout Monmouth County and the greater metropolitan area. Sherri’s paintings have also found collectors in East Hampton, Monmouth County and New York City where her unique fusion of color and spirit continues to resonate.
