Tracy Coon

Tracy Coon is a multidisciplinary artist, printmaker and educator based in Somerville, New Jersey. Her work covers various themes including the essence of nature and the human figure. From traditional stone lithography to mixed media collages, in her work you can find intimate renderings to vast and dreamlike explorations. Tracy attended the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed the foundation courses before leaving the institute to pursue other interests. Prior to leaving she became enamoured with printmaking under the instruction of Michael Houlihan. The duality of craft and art appealed to the artist and she continues to work as a printmaker today with a focus on traditional stone lithography. She has since studied with Stephen McKenzie and Devraj Dakoji. Tracy's artwork has been included in solo, collaborative, and group shows. She has received several awards, including an honorable mention at the 2017 New Brunswick Art Salon at Alfa Gallery in New Brunswick. She has curated for Chashama in Matawan and taught life drawing in public and private settings.
