Yolanda Fleming

Yolanda Navarra Fleming is an intuitive mixed-media abstract expressionist and an award-winning exhibiting member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury. She says, “I choose to paint abstractly because painting is how I access my subconscious mind and express myself nonverbally. Words can be limiting, but I don’t need to explain or attempt accuracy regarding my emotions or intuition. It all spills out in color and form without judgment.” She believes the name of a piece is equally important to the color and form and has sold certain pieces based on the title. Her work hangs in various public spaces and private homes. A resident of Highlands, she is also a marketing executive and the author of two books.
