Expressing the power of the color blue and the anxiety of air travel.
Reflected in one eye is the image of a butterfly. The color red is used to project vitality and hopefulness.
Using the color yellow and a scotch tape box to create this face, yellow is not used to denote stillness yet this figure is meant to appear contemplative.

This figure is composed of acrylic on pages from a 1984 almanac and photos of an abandoned amusement park . The park closed after many years as a fixture in northeastern Ohio.
This face was created from photographs of an abandoned merry go round. I inherited the photos from my mother’s estate and I am trying to preserve the memories of Idora Park from her photos.
